Five Islands of Shincha – Teeverkostung

Bei diesem Event werden wir von uns selbst direkt aus Japan mitgebrachten Shincha verkosten. Wir werden dabei Tees von fünf japanischen Inseln kennenlernen: von der südlichsten Insel Okinawa über Yakushima und Kyushu bis Shikoku und der Hauptinsel Honshu. Der Fokus wird auf der ersten Sencha-Ernte liegen, aber wir werden auch erste Pflückungen von Kamairicha und Fukamushicha probieren.

Teilnehmer sollten ein besonderes Interesse an und gewissen Vorkenntnisse in Bezug auf Sencha haben, da die Unterschiede graduell sein werden. Für eine etwas größere Bandbreite an japanischer Teeerfahrung empfehlen wir unser Event “Fresh from Japan tea trip: rare tea tasting and report“ am 25.6.2017.

Gastgeber: Erik, der Gründer von macha-macha, wird die Tees zubereiten und kommentieren. Die Verkostung findet auf Deutsch und Englisch statt.

Five Islands of Shincha – Tea Tasting

In this event we will let you taste Shincha that we brought freshly from Japan. We will cover five Japanese islands from Okinawa in the very south going north via Yakushima, Kyushu and Shikoku up to Honshu the main island. The focus will be on the first harvest of Sencha, but we will include also a first flush Kamairicha as well as a Fukamushicha.

Participants should have a deep interest in Sencha as the differences will be gradual – basically what we will taste and see is many shades of green :-) Should you be looking for a more diversified experience you should check out our Event “Fresh from Japan tea trip: rare tea tasting and report“ on 25th of June 2017.
