Ambition 1.5oC: Global Shipping’s Action Plan will gather experts from across the shipping industry to create the Action Plan required for shipping to meet the high ambition level indicated in the Paris Agreement. The Action Plan developed will be used as a briefing document for UNFCCC delegates.
The purpose of the event is to catalyse significant impact within the global shipping industry and at COP23.
The UN Climate Change Conference will be held in Bonn this year from 6 to 17 November. It will play a key role in advancing the aims and ambitions of the Paris Agreement. Thousands of international delegates and industry leaders will visit the city of Bonn over the two weeks.
